FAQs

Do you work in person or virtually?

I work virtually via telephone or video conferencing for the majority of my projects. If you would like me to visit your home or business as part of the research process, that can be arranged as long as you are willing to cover the expenses.

Who owns the copyright to my book?

You will own the copyright and receive all the earnings from your book. As your ghostwriter, my job is to write a fantastic book with you, and then we part as friends.

Will people know that I used a ghostwriter?

As part of our contract, I promise that my entire team will ensure 100% confidentiality regarding your project and intellectual property. Many of my clients decide to acknowledge my work in the book, calling me their editor, while a few reveal that they worked with me as their writing partner. You can choose how much or how little to say about our ghostwriting relationship. My lips are sealed!

Do you provide a written contract?

Yes. You’ll receive a detailed contract containing the project plan, deliverables, and payment arrangements. You can review this contract with your attorney or family members prior to signing it. Creating clear expectations is a vital component of a successful business relationship.

Will you write my book for a percentage of future sales?

No, that is not possible or advisable. No experienced ghostwriter will write your book without payment during the writing process.

What are your ghostwriting fees?

My fees are based on the length of your book, the amount of research required, and the complexity of the topic. Generally, a business or family legacy book of 200 printed pages ranges between $70,000 to $100,000, including curating and editing images. Business building books of 200 printed pages range between $65,000 to $80,000. Your pricing will be adjusted accordingly if your project is shorter or longer than 200 printed pages.

Do you include supplemental research?

If your book requires supporting research, either additional interviews or published material, I can include that in the project plan. As a former research librarian, I’m delighted to find sources and document them in a bibliography or resource list.

Do you use AI to write my book?

I’ve conducted extensive testing on AI writing platforms and found them all lacking. For example, ChatGPT used the words tapestry and labyrinth in every other paragraph. AI tools are useful for brainstorming ideas and chapter headings but cannot produce high-quality writing with an emotional appeal. No computer will ever be able to listen, ask expanding questions, and find the heart of your story like a well-trained, experienced human ghostwriter.

I want to write my own book. Can you help?

Yes, I offer book coaching and developmental editing as my schedule allows.
