Ghostwriting from the mountains of Ecuador

I’ve been surrounded by books my entire life. I read at least 100 books annually, both fiction and non-fiction. My home doesn’t feel complete without bookshelves with titles waiting for me to explore.

Before I became an entrepreneur, publisher, and ghostwriter, I worked as a librarian, educator, technical writer, and corporate administrator.

In 2002, I wrote and self-published my first book in the early years of the self-publishing revolution. It wasn’t long before I left my corporate leadership role to work as a publisher, book coach, and ghostwriter. Since then, I’ve ghostwritten 55+ books for business leaders, published more than 400 business books for writers I’ve trained, became a mentor to new ghostwriters, and immersed myself in the world of business books.

I've published a few best-selling books under my own name and know first-hand how challenging it can be to write your deepest truths for everyone to see. Those experiences made me compassionate and able to empower my clients when they get stuck. Your deepest fears and doubts will surface more than once during the writing process. I'll be there to help you use them to create your best possible book.

In 2012, I fulfilled a lifelong dream and relocated from the Midwestern United States to the Andes Mountains in Ecuador. I spend my days looking at this beautiful view, writing, reading, and enjoying life with my husband and two rescue dogs, Millie and Clifford.

On a boat in the middle of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia- one of the most magical places I’ve ever been.

On the personal side

I'm a classic nerd who loves learning, ideas, and creating. My superpower is listening for what makes each person magical. Give me a problem to solve or chaos to sort out, and I'll be a happy camper. Surprisingly, my years of acting in amateur theatre gave me powerful tools for ghostwriting, especially when creating a unique writing voice for my clients.

School was easy for me, and I went up through the Ph.D. level until I realized I'd rather write books than a dissertation.

I believe in old-school values, which I learned growing up on a farm in Minnesota-- work hard, be kind, tell the truth, and help others. Faith and family are everything to me. I'm the proud mom of three sons and a grandmother to Lucy and Zoe.

Travel fuels me, so I am always planning a new trip. I have no athletic ability whatsoever but compensate with a robust sense of humor. When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me baking bread or something sweet in my kitchen.
